The Adult Bowlers Tour completed its season with a trip to 222 Dutch Lanes in Ephrata for our $2000 Finale Tournament.  This year’s finale event saw 37 bowlers take to the lanes on a challenging Amateur Bowlers Tour pattern.  Format was 6 games – top 10 bowlers (25%) advanced to 3 additional games of qualifying.  After 9 games, the top 5 competed in a stepladder final to determine our champion.

This year’s champion continues to have an amazing year on the lanes!  Joe Paluszek of Bensalem, PA, captured the $200o win.  Paluszek, coming off a 4th place finish at the PBA USBC Masters…kept his solid bowling ways going on this day.  Paluszek came out of the gate early and really never looked back.  He shot qualifying games of 221, 225, 259, 248, and an 11-in-a-row 296, and a 247 game.  He was the tournament leader after qualifying at +297.  10th place cut for qualifying after 6 games was +18.  Paluszek maintained his lead in the cashers round with games of 203, 213, and 227.  He was +339 for 9 games and had an 80 pin lead on the field, entering the stepladder finals.  In the title match, Paluszek took on his good friend John Furey.  Furey qualified 5th for the finals and won all three stepladder matches to get to the final.  Furey defeated Brak Kemp 187-183.  Furey then beat Ryan Graham 266-202.  In the semi-final, Furey defeated Danny Wiseman 256-245.  This set up the match between Paluszek & Furey.  Paluszek put some strikes together early and never gave Furey a realistic chance to catch him.  In the end, Paluszek defeated Furey 215-185 to win the $2000 top prize.

Congrats to Eric Erb ($500), Michael Houtz ($250), and Kelly McCutheon ($250) who took home the bonus checks for winning our points standings on the season.

Thanks to all who competed this year and we will see you in September for 2018-2019 Season!
