Owen Darby Captures the 2nd Buddies Pro Shop Title of the Season

The BuddiesProShop.com Adult Bowlers Tour continued with our 2nd event of the season, a singles event at Parkway Lanes in Allentown, PA.  This event saw 24 competitors take to the lanes on a challenging pattern.

Brunswick Staffer Owen Darby brought home the victory.  Darby had a solid qualifying round with games of 192, 243, 204, 199, 173, and 189 for a score of 1200/even.  The even qualifying round seeded Darby 3rd for the 6 bowler bracket final.  6th place cut score was -39 for 6 games.

Darby entered the finals in a semi-final head-to-head match vs #2 seed Rich Salobecke.  Darby defeated Salobecke 194-175 to advance to the title match.  Darby took on tournament leader Frank Moran in the title match.  The title match came down to the final shot….but in the end Darby squeaked out a victory over Frank Moran 234-231 for the win.  Darby’s win earned him a $500 cash payout for the win.
