The PJBT continued its qualifier tournaments for Junior Gold with a trip to Jordan Lanes in Allentown, PA.  This event, originally scheduled for Cedar Lanes, was moved locations because Cedar Lanes is rebuilding their current bowling center in a new location in the Lebanon area.  PJBT would like to thank Jordan Lanes for assisting us with the location change.

On this day, 27 bowlers took to the lanes en route of a Junior Gold spot for this year.  All athletes were competing on the Mexico City WTBA Pattern.

In U20 Boys, Matthew Forry of Dover, PA, captured his Junior Gold spot.  Forry came out of the gate slow with a 159 game.  However, he followed it up with 235, 250, and 207 for 851 (+51).  Forry won the qualifier by 25 pins over 2nd place finisher Sam Unterberg.

In U20 Girls, Sarah Fenicle won her spot.  Fenicle shot games of 211, 159, 166, and 202 for a total of 738 (-62).  Sarah won the qualifier by just 18 pins over 2 girls who tied for 2nd place.

In U15 Boys, Lucas Francis was the winner.  Francis shot games of 182, 215, 221, and 181 for a total of 799 (-1).  Francis won the qualifier by 70 pins over the 2nd place bowler.

In U15 Girls, Sarah Ornesky captured the win.  Ornesky started strong with a 222 game and maintained her lead with games of 176, 186, and 186.  She shot 770 (-30) and won the qualifier by 37 pins over the 2nd place girl.

In U12, Tom Burns Jr got a spot in the national event.  For a 12 year old, he dominated the qualifier shooting games of 224, 206, 165, and 173 for 768 (-32).  He won the qualifier by over 100 pins.

These 5 athletes will be traveling as part of team PJBT to the Junior Gold Championships in July 2016.  We have now qualified 58 athletes with 1 event remaining on the year.
