The PJBT was part of Junior Gold history for the second time in three years. Its first ever U12 boys champion is Anthony Neuer of Lewisburg.  Neuer qualified through the PJBT on Super Bowl Sunday.  He defeated fellow PJBT qualifier Alexander Horton, 169-131, in the double-elimination final. Anthony, the son of PBA Champion Andy Neuer, qualified third, averaging 176.  He averaged 187 for the four games of double elimination.   Prior to Junior Gold, the 8th annual DV8 JuniorBowling.com Shootout welcomed 364 bowlers to Clover Lanes in Rochester. South Carolina’s Andrew Diley shook off a 153 first game, and wouldn’t go under 224 the rest of the night.  His +125 netted a $3,200 scholarship.  PA’s Eric Erb was second, and eventual Junior Gold U20 runner-up Wesley Low was third.  Defending champion Kamron Doyle finished 10th. Minnesota’s Taylor Nguyen was the only young lady to average over 200 in winning the girls division.  She earned a $1,400 scholarship.  Kentucky’s Megan Hedgespeth was second.  North Carolina’s Anna Groce was one pin better than 2012 DV8 champ Emily Strombeck for third.  Defending champion Tara Quinlan finished 9th. 16 Junior Gold spots for 2015 were awarded, as well as over $17,000 in scholarships.  Special thanks to DV8, Clover Lanes, and all the volunteers who made this event a smashing success.
