The PJBT continued its 19th Season with a return trip to Clearview Lanes in Mount Joy PA.  This traditional December event was converted from a singles event in past years to an additional Adult-Junior Event.  The event was a success.  On this day, we had 104 bowlers or 52 teams competing.  We had 29 teams in Scratch and 23 teams in Handicap.  All competitors took on the Kegel High Street Pattern for competition.

In Scratch, Gene Blair captured his 3rd title of the year and 4th career PJBT title.  His partner, the one and only Hall-of-Famer Danny Wiseman.  Amazingly, Wiseman’s career has many wins and titles but never a PJBT title until this day!!  Blair/Wiseman, both from Baltimore Maryland area, shot solid doubles teams games in Round 1 of 5 games qualifying.  They shot 468, 423, 420, 488, and 424.  Blair/Wiseman was near the top of the leaderboard entering Round 2 of qualifying.  Round 2 of qualifying was 3 additional games.  Blair/Wiseman shot 477, 374, and 403 to earn a spot into the finals.  The top 4 teams bowled a 1-4 / 2-3 bracket semi-final and winners bowled off for the title.  Blair/Wiseman snuck into the finals as the #4 seed team of 4.  They shot 3477 for 8 or +277.  In the 1-4 semifinal match, Blair/Wiseman took on #1 seed team Ryan Graham & Jonathan Rogers.  Blair/Wiseman started hot and Graham/Rogers could not get lined up.  In the end, Blair/Wiseman dominated Graham/Rogers 439-352.  This advanced them into the title match vs #3 seed Anthony Neuer/Colby Reichenbach.  Neuer/Reichenbach defeated Tony Lutz/Neal Vital in their semi-final 436-420.  In the title match….we had a classic!  This match was shot for shot and came down to the final frame.  Blair/Wiseman squeaked out a close win over Neuer/Reichenbach 433-424.  Gene Blair won a $200 scholarship & trophy for his victory while Danny Wiseman received a plaque and $150 cash prize.  The top 6 Teams out of 29 earned scholarship/cash prizes.

In Handicap, locals Eryn & Jill Moore took home the win.  The Moore’s entered the day with a 320 team average and 72 pins handicap per game.  They shot scratch team games of 336, 366, 374 and 285.  The Moore’s led the leaderboard entering Round 2 of qualifying.  They continued to bowl well with games of 391, 379, and 437.  After 8 games, they stood at 3567 (+367) and was the #1 seed team entering the finals.  The finals ironically ended the way they started.  The Moore’s took on #4 seed Katelyn Musselman & Dustin Kroft.  Moore’s won this match 436-387.  This advanced them to the title match to take on #2 seed Brett & Mike Reidinger.  Reideinger’s won their semi-final over #3 seed Eric & David Barnes 326-283.  The title match was #1 vs #2.  In the final, Moore’s beat Reidinger’s  390-348 to take home the title.  Eryn Moore won a $200 scholarship and trophy while Jill Moore earned a plaque and $150 cash prize.  The top 5 teams out of 23 earned scholarship/cash prizes.

Congrats also to Jonathan Rogers (adult) who bowled our only honor score of the day….a Perfect 300 Game During Game 1 of Qualifying.
