The PJBT conducted his 2nd to the last Regular Season Event at ABC North Lanes in Harrisburg, PA on May 15.  This event was our 40th event of the regular season.  It was a regular season singles event bowled on a house shot condition.  On this day, our final points champions saga continued to play out.  With 2 events remaining, Dylan Zimmerman & Alex Glinski were separated by just 1 point in the point standings and a victory for Zimmerman would lock up Player of the Year Honors.

We saw 65 athletes take to the lanes including 30 in Scratch and 35 in Handicap.

In Scratch, our winner, Jarrett Defalco, reminded us all that despite the fact that Zimmerman & Glinski were bowling for a points title….don’t forget about me!!  Defalco captured his 2nd career PJBT title…his other title coming about 2 years ago at Bowl-O-Rama in April 2014.  Defalco’s road to victory was not an easy task.  He had quite a mountain to climb to win.  He started with games of 211, 223, 191, 248, and 186 in qualifying.  He stood at +59 and was in 12th place of 12 advancers.  He was the cut at the score of +59.  He trailed the leader Zachary Vitelli by over 200 pins!  In match play, Defalco went 2-1 shooting games of 205 (W), 257 (W) and 235 (L).  After 8 games, Defalco snuck into the finals in 5th place at +214.  He trailed tournament leader Francis Vitelli, #2 seed Dylan Zimmerman, #3 seed Zachary Dragovits, and #4 seed Alex Glinski.  This final was dramatic because Zimmerman & Glinski were bowling for the Scratch Points Title and also Zimmerman & Dragovits were bowling for the most victories this season….as both were tied at 6 wins on the year entering the finals.  As I mentioned earlier, Defalco said forget all this!!  He walked the ladder to victory!  He began beating Alex Glinski 197-173.  In match 2, Defalco took down Dragovits 227-159.  In the semi-final, he took down Dylan Zimmerman 248-226.  In the title match, he kept it rolling!  He defeated Z Vitelli 237-168 to take the title and the $200 top scholarship prize.

Entering next Saturday’s final regular season event….Zimmerman leads Glinski by 11 points for the Points Title and Zimmerman/Dragovits remain tied for the most victories on the year with 6.

In Handicap, Chase Stone captured his 1st ever PJBT victory.  Stone took a different and easier route to victory.  Stone entered the event with an entering average of 173 or 24 handicap pins per game.  He shot qualifying scratch games of 171, 206, 220, 235, and 145.  Stone stood at +97 and was the tournament leader after qualifying.  The first 14th place cut was +6 after 5 games.  In match play, Stone maintained his lead by going 2-1 with scratch games of 205 (L), 233 (W), and 223 (W).  Stone was at +290 and was the leader entering the finals.  In the title match, Chase Stone took on #2 seed Logan Reed.  Their match came down to the last shot….but in the end….Stone edged Reed 232-224 to take home the title and the $200 top scholarship prize.

Congratulations on this day to Cameron Carbaugh who shot a perfect game of 300 and also took home our 300 Pot for $82.
