Farwell & Logan are Victorious at Women’s Only Event at East Lincoln

The PJBT’s third all-girls event took place at East Lincoln Lanes in York County. The field of 35 featured several first-timers and a few ladies home from college.

Olivia Farwell of Elizabethtown successfully defended her title in the scratch division. She led wire-to-wire, with qualifying scores of 241, 258, 187, 234, and 211, for plus 131. Her match play victories were backed by games of 209, 257, and 201, for plus 282, and a 242 pin lead over second.

In stepladders, #4 Morgan Daub defeated #5 Lauren Van Daniker, 180-165, and #3 Liz Hunsicker, 244-184. #2 Alexis Neuer earned her spot in the final with a 232-188 win over Daub. In the final, Neuer held a short lead over Farwell throughout the match. However, Neuer split in both the 9th and 10th. Farwell struck on the first ball of the 10th to clinch a 203-192 victory. The win was Farwell’s 9th overall, and she earned over $300 in scholarships on the day.

Johanna Brown from Fawn Grove made her PJBT debut a winning one in handicap. She qualified 2nd, with games of 103, 75, 136, 129, and 131. Coupled with 99 pins handicap, she was at plus 69. She won her three matches, with 135, 108, and 112. Brown moved up to first at plus 211.

#5 Brianna Palasik won the first three matches of stepladders. She bested #4 Nyla Wilson, 173-168, #3 Breanne Hood, 208-147, and #2 Sierra Pompey, 163-137. In the final, Brown defeated Palasik, 163-120, to earn the $250 top scholarship prize.
