The PJBT conducted his final Junior Gold Only Qualifier Tournament on Saturday, May 21, 2015.  This event was our final of 11 Junior Gold Qualifier Tournaments for the year.  This new format qualifier has been a huge hit this season.  For the first time in about five years, the PJBT qualified over 60 bowlers to compete in the Junior Gold National Championships in Indianapolis July 2016.  On this day, we had 28 bowlers take to the lanes on the WTBA Stockholm Pattern to try to qualify for the final time.

In U20 Boys, we qualified our top 2 bowlers.  The qualifying winner was Austin Englehart.  Englehart shot games of 235, 190, 164, and 210 for 799 or -1.  Englehart won the qualifier by 112 over 2nd place.  The battle for 2nd place and final advancer spot went to DeAndrew Clark.  Clark snuck into 2nd place with games of 157, 219, 154, and 157 for 687 (-113).  He finished 2nd by just 5 pins over 3rd place finisher Tyler Tasillo and 11 pins higher than 4th place bowler Brandon Whitehead.

In U20 Girls, Amanda Zappacosta captured the entry.  Zappacosta started slow with games of 146 and 166 but she finished strong.  She shot 211 and 196 the last 2 to finish at 719 (-81).  She won the qualifier by 94 pins over 2nd place finisher Madison Burkert.

In U15 Combined Division, Alyssa Breidegam captured her Junior Gold spot.  Breidegam shot games of 175, 178, 139 and 173 for a total of 665 (-135).  She won the qualifier by just 14 pins over 2nd place Ashley Sham.

In U12 Combined Division, Madison Brenneman of York PA got the final U12 spot.  Madison shot games of 158, 133, 116, and 108 for a total of 515 (-285).  This qualifier came down to the last game and Brenneman won the qualifier by just 26 pins over 2nd place.

Thanks to all who came out to our qualifiers this year and good luck to our 63 Athletes at Junior Gold 2016 in Indianapolis July 16-23.
