Harford jr & Ocello outlast los angeles pattern at abc north

The PJBT rolled into ABC North Lanes in Harrisburg for our 3rd Major of the Season.  We would like to thank Brunswick for sponsoring our event.  Scores were low on this day as the Los Angeles WTBA Pattern played tough for our bowlers.

Roger Harford Jr made it two victories in a row….taking the Scratch title on this day.  After winning the Adult/Jr event last week….he followed it up with a singles victory Sunday.  Roger led the event most of the day.  The tough Los Angeles pattern kept scores low but Roger led after 6 games at +70.  He maintained his lead through matchplay and was the tournament leader entering the finals.  In a close title match, Harford Jr defated Brian Kennedy 206-205 to take the title and the $300 scholarship.

Joey Ocello captured his 1st PJBT Overall and Major Title on this day.  Joey grinded to a 4th place seed after 6 games of qualifying at -103.  In matchplay, he made up some ground and was seeded 4th entering the 6 bowler final.  In match one of the final, Ocello defated Christian Martin 177-143.  This advanced him to a 2nd match vs Jocelyn Hood.  Ocello defeated Hood 159-121.  In the semi-final, Ocello took on last week’s Handicap Winner from the Danny Wiseman Tourn, Brianna Barna.  Ocello defated Barna 168-165 to advance to the title match.  In the title match, Ocello defeated tournament leader Brendan Hunsicker 166-150 to capture the title and the $300 scholarship.
