The PJBT rolled into Clearview Lanes to begin the month of December.  This event was a regular season singles event on the Kegel Broadway Pattern.  42 bowlers…21 in each division took on the task.

In Scratch, Austin Kerper captured his 1st career PJBT title.  Kerper qualified 3rd after 5 games of qualifying at +65.  He then won his matches in match play and propelled himself into the lead of the event entering the finals.  In the finals, Kerper took on 5th seed Brian Kennedy.  Entering the final match, Kennedy was hot….winning all 3 stepladder matches prior to the final match.  In the final, Kerper got off to a hot start and never looked back.  He strung six strikes in a row and never looked back.  Kerper defeated Kennedy 268-202 to take hom the title and the $200 top prize.

In Handicap, Darren Zombro III of Lebanon captured his 2nd PJBT title of the year.  Zombro put a dominating performance.  He got off to the lead early and never looked back.  After 5 games of qualifying, he was the only bowler + at +59.  He was the leader.  He won 2 of his 3 matches in match play and maintained the lead entering the finals.  Zombro III was facing off against Drew Jaquith in the final.  Jaquith had a similar story to Kennedy.  He was seeded 4th entering the finals and had walked the ladder….winning 3 prior stepladder matches entering the finals.  In the final, the match remained close to the end.  However, Jaquith opened in the 10th…forcing Darren to just mark in the 10th frame….which he did.  Zombro defeated Jaquith 155-148 and took home the title and $200 top prize.
