180 bowlers, comprising 36 teams, competed in the PJBT’s 2nd Bowling Center Championships at Allentown’s Parkway Lanes.  Nearly 100 bowlers were participating either for the first time this season or making their PJBT debut.  Special thanks to Gebhardt’s Pro Shop for their sponsorship.

It’s four hours from Cranston, Rhode Island to Allentown, and one of the three teams from Lang’s Bowlarama went home with the first place hardware.  Their day started on a high note with anchor Jalen Scott-Jones rolling 300.  Teammates Bryan Bourget, Vernon Billington II, Jadee Scott-Jones, and Qwadaris Rembert combined for 5215 for five games and the top seed.  In the finals, they defeated the New Jersey-based team of Tyler & Zack Vitelli, Greg Tack, Robert Pusey, and Chris DiPolo; 1071-960.  Each bowler earned a $200 scholarship and the youth program at Lang’s Bowlarama earned a $500 bonus.  Defending champions Town & Country Lanes finished 3rd.

Erie Lanes in Philadelphia send two teams, and their handicap team won its division.  Javion Norman, Josh Eisman, Chris Johnson, Jesse Brown, and Derrick Brown Jr.   They defeated the West Virginia-based team of Kyle and Josh Davy, Tyler Church, Brandon Hose, and Walter Tomlin in the final for victory.  Each bowler earned a $ scholarship and Erie Lanes’ youth program earned a $500 bonus.

Brandon Runk qualified for 2014 Junior Gold in Buffalo.
