Proving that the PJBT’s special events are some of the best-attended around, 81 pairings took to Leisure Lanes for our final adult/junior of the regular season.  Special thanks to Gary’s Pro Shop for its sponsorship.   Patrick Mitchell won his 4th title, and helped assistant tournament director Travis Sparks win his first title in scratch.  They fell out of the top four early in round two, but managed to sneak back in the 4th place entering the bracket final.  A 9th frame 4-7-9 split conversion and 10th frame strikes helped Mitchell/Sparks upend top seed Bradley Crouse/Kevin Beers, 446-425.  Against Jack Celmer/Ryan Porr, the winners stayed cleaned and both struck in the 9th to clinch a 464-408 decision.  Mitchell earned a $300 scholarship for the win. Nick and Durbin Fisher won their first title in handicap.  As top seed, they cruised in their semifinal, and defeated Dominic Cochetti/Nick Eidenschink in the final, 408-382.  Nick averaged 201 for 10 games, and Durbin averaged 215, including 269 in the semifinal. Beers and Dave Bennett each shot 300 in qualifying. Kaeli McMaster and Jennifer Williams earned their entries to Junior Gold in Buffalo.
