The PJBT held its final Junior Gold Only Qualifier Tournament on Sunday, May 17th, 2015.  This event was bowlers’ last chance to qualify for Junior Gold 2015 in Chicago thru our organization.  The PJBT saw 30 bowlers compete in 5 divisions to advance to the National Youth Event.

On this day, we qualified 5 bowlers to complete our entry field.  In the U20 Boys, Ben Rynes shot a perfect 300 Game during the qualifying on the Atlanta Pattern…to capture his spot.  Rynes was the first ever bowler to shoot a perfect 300 game in a Junior Gold Qualifying Event.  Rynes shot 909 for 4 games and defeated and won the qualifier by over 200 pins on 2nd place Spencer Schneck.  In the U20 Girls, Kellie Frain captured her spot with a 4 game total of 774 (-26).  In the U15 Boys, Isaac Erickson inched out Patrick Stalnaker for his junior gold spot.  Erickson shot 686 or -114 for 4 games.  In the U15 Girls, Amanda Yeung dominated the division shooting 694 (-106) for 4 games.  Finally, Jennifer Williams captured her spot in the U12 Overall Division with a 4 game scratch total of 622 (-178).

This completes the PJBT field for Junior Gold of 39 Bowlers!  Good Luck to our 39 athletes as they compete in Chicago next month at the Junior Gold National Championships.
