The first half of the PJBT’s 15th season wrapped up with our sixth major at ABC East Lanes.  Rolling on the Montreal pattern, pinfall was stubborn and conditions were demanding.   Layne Sandt got himself right back into Bowler of the Year conversation with his third title of the season.  He shot 761 for the first three games of qualifying and never looked back.  Despite an open in the 9th frame of the final, Sandt’s 189-152 win over Conrad Chapple earned a $300 scholarship payday.  Sandt averaged 222 for 10 games in winning his 9th title.   Taylor Forman took the lead in the point standings in handicap with her 4th title.  After a slow start through two games, she never shot less than 191 afterwards.  She defeated first-timer Kacy Blevins in the final, 210-198.  Forman earned a $300 scholarship for winning.   Justin Bohn earned a free U12 entry to Junior Gold 2014 in Buffalo.   Tom Barna, Jr. retook the lead in scratch division points from Bradley Crouse.  At the halfway point of the season, Barna, Crouse, Sandt, and Michael Martell all have multiple titles on the season.   James Carnal, Bryanna Leyen, and Javion Norman each have two titles in handicap.      Projected 48th place in each division is 2500 points.  Top 48 in each division will be invited to the Invitational at Limerick, as well as 12 additional bowlers with at least 11 participation points.
