Sandt wins 10th with Kishbaugh, Vesek/Bilwin win stanton adult/junior

Our 2nd Adult/Junior of the Year was a big success….as the PJBT rolled into the cold regions of PA in Wilkes-Barre at Stanton Lanes.  On this cold and windy day, 80 teams or 160 bowlers were in attendance for our junior/event.  Thanks to Tom Biniek (Beans) and Bean’s Pro Shop for sponsoring our 2nd Adult/Junior Event.In Scratch, Layne Sandt & Chris Kishbaugh took home the title.  37 teams competed in scratch.  This was back-to-back titles for Layne…as we won this event last year.  In addition, this title was Layne’s 10th Career PJBT Title.For the first 5 games, Sandt/Kisbaugh shot 2329 and sat in 3rd place after qualifying.  In Round 2, they shot 1330 for 3 games and advanced into the 2nd seed position entering the finals.  They only trailed tournament leaders Bradley Crouse/Zakee Ibrahim.  In the 1 game 4 team final…Sandt shot 266 and dominated the final…defeating the other 3 teams by a score of 454 to 432-420-369.In Handicap, local Hayley Vesek & Len Bilwin took home the title.  They outlasted the 43 team handicap field.  Vesek & Bilwin shot 2151 for the first 5 games with their handicap.  They sat in 4th place entering Round 2.  Behind Bilwin’s 708 series in Round 2….Vesek/Bilwin sat at 3482 and was seeded 2nd going into the 4 team 1 game final.  In the final, Vesek, stepped up and bowled a scratch 188 game.  Combined with Len’s 200 game and handicap….Vesek/Bilwin defeated the 3 other finals teams by the scores 461-416-416-387.  This title was Vesek’s first ever PJBT Title.Congrats to Tyler Dautrich who shot 299 during qualifying and Jenn Stevens who had an 11 in a row 279 game.
