Berks Lanes hosted the final major of the 15th season. Thanks to Visionary Bowling for sponsoring this event. Jack Celmer’s 11th title was his most dominant. He shot 279 in game one, and never looked back. He defeated Bradley Crouse, 242-182, for the championship and the $300 top scholarship prize. Celmer averaged 226 for 10 games, 46 pins above the entire division.
The handicap division’s season full of young winners and first-time champions yielded its most popular winner of season. Normally, Bethany Jaquith is Travis’s sidekick during the raffles. On this day, she finished as winner. She led after qualifying and was top seed entering stepladders, averaging 21 pins over average. She defeated Gene Blair, 217-176, and won the $300 top scholarship prize.
With this event, the PJBT has now awarded over $700,000 since 1999.
