Kollar/Himmelreich And Jennings/Schneider Win Limerick Adult/Junior

The PJBT rolled into Limerick Bowl for our 2nd Adult/Junior Event of the Year.  We saw a sell out crowd of 190 bowlers (95 teams) take on the lanes in this year’s edition of the event.  The event had 53 teams in Scratch and 42 teams in Handicap.

In Scratch, Charles Kollar & Brent Himmelreich captured the title.  Charles Kollar captured his 1st adult/junior title while Brent won his 2nd title of 2 adult/junior events so far this season.  Kollar/Himmelreich dominated the event…. they led after qualifying gm 5 and after gm 8 of Round 2 qualifying.  In the 1 game final, Kollar/Himmelreich took on 2nd seed Andrew Lazarchick/Matt Russo…3rd seed Dylan Zimmerman/Steve Haas….and 4th seed Austin Chubb/Kevin Beers.  The final match was a 1 game winner take all head-to-head match.  In the final, Kollar/Himmelreich defeated Lazarchick/Russo, Zimmerman/Haas, and Chubb/Beers  460-434-433-409.  Charles Kollar took home the $400 top prize and Brent Himmelreich won the top prize of a plaque and $150 gift card.

In Handicap, Shania Jennings & Chelsea Schneider captured their 1st PJBT title.  Jennings & Schneider also led the Handicap field after 8 games of qualifying total with 3530 or +330.  In the one game final, Jennings/Schneider took on 2nd seed Ken Thompson/M Chesko, Hayden/Kevin Shatzer, and Hunter & Bill Waltman.   In this one game final….just like in scratch….the standings ended the way they started.  Jennings/Schneider defeated Thompson/Chesko, Shatzer/Shater/, and Waltman/Waltman 440-429-356-354.  Jennings received a $400 top prize and Schneider a $150 gift card and plaque.

Congrats also to Matt Russo who shot a 290 game and 820 series during qualifying.  We also saw some adult bowlers shoot honor scores on this day.
