Kleinspehn & Kemp Dominate First Ever Scotch Doubles Adult Event

The BuddiesProShop.com Adult Bowlers Tour continued its season with a trip to Berks Lanes for our first ever Scotch Doubles Event.  For bowlers not familiar, Scotch Doubles is where partners alternate every shot during bowling….1st shot / 2nd shot in a frame for every shot.

On this day….12 doubles teams competed.  Format was each doubles team bowled 12 scotch doubles games and the top 2 teams bowled each other in a 2 game total pins match for the title.

Justin Kleinspehn & Brad Kemp dominated this event.  Kleinspehn & Kemp went+287 for 12 games and led the entire field by over 140 pins!  They were #1 seed entering the final match.  They took on #2 seed Michael Houtz & Isaac Kim.  The 2 game final was an adventure.  Kleinspehn/Kemp dominated game 1 of the match – shooting 276 to Houtz/Kim 191.  Despite their 80+ pin lead…Kleinspehn/Kemp struggled game 2.  They shot 191 and survived the total as Houtz/Kim shot 267.  In the end, Kleinspehn/Kemp shot 467 to Houtz/Kim 458.

Justin Kleinspehn & Brad Kemp won a $1500 top prize for their win.
