Christman wins first, Norman wins third at hiester

84 bowlers made it a day at Hiester Lanes in Reading for our first of two visits in the season’s second half.   Ryan Christman won his first title in scratch.  He qualified 6th, averaging 218.  He moved up to third after going 1-1-1 in match play.  He squeaked past CJ Costa and Bradley Crouse in the semifinals, and defeated top-seed Patrick Mitchell in the final, 219-163.  Christman earned the $200 top scholarship prize.   Javion Norman won his third title of the season in handicap.  He qualified 4th, averaging 189.  He entered stepladders as the second seed.  He defeated Alden Everett in the semifinal, and beat top-seed Michael McMaster in the final, 183-179.  Norman also earned a $200 scholarship.     The big payday went to Nathan Foster.  He shot 300 in game three, earning a $258 scholarship for finally hitting the 300 pot.   Austin Slater and Tyler Dautrich earned their entries to 2014 Junior Gold in Buffalo.
