The PJBT continued his 16th season with a singles event at Jordan Lanes in Whitehall, PA.  The event saw 58 bowlers take on the WTBA Tokyo Pattern for bowling.

In Scratch, it was quite a battle between Bradley Crouse, our eventual winner….and Michael Martell.  Crouse lead the scratch field of 34 bowlers after qualifying.  He shot 1101 or +101 for 5 games.  In match play, he won 2 of 3 matches but fell into a tie for the lead heading into the finals.  After 8 games, Crouse & Martell were dead tied at +180.  However, Martell was the #1 seed because he won his final game of match play against Crouse.  In the finals, Crouse defeated 3rd seed Zach Dragovits 214-180.  This set us a re-match with Martell for the title.  Despite losing in match play to Martell, Crouse elected to win when it most counted….for the title.  Crouse defeated Martell in the final match 197-173 to take home the title and the $200 top prize.

In Handicap, we saw Brianna Barna emerge as the front runner in Game 4 of the event.  Barna started off in the top 24 bowlers on the standings…but ran to 1st place with a scratch 268 game in Game 4 of qualifying.  Riding that 268, she never looked back.  She led after qualifying with 1190 for 5 games or +190.  She then maintained her lead through Match Play and entered the finals as the tournament leader.  In the title match, Brianna Barna took on 2nd seed Shania Jennings.  Barna defeated Jennings in the title match 192-180 and took home the $200 top prize.
