Crouse, Matt Salwoski champs at chacko’s

54 bowlers gathered at Chacko’s Family Bowling Center in Wilkes-Barre for our first visit of the season to the Wyoming Valley.   Bradley Crouse made it victories on back-to-back Sundays by winning the scratch division.  Helping his cause was averaging 270 in his stepladder matches.  He won the semifinal against Garth Ritter, 278-199, and the final over Kyle Metz, 262-236.  Crouse averaged 239 on the day, and earned the $200 top scholarship prize. Matt Salwoski won his first career PJBT title in handicap.  He averaged 159 for 11 games, including 179 in stepladders.  He bested Michael Baker, 205-179, in the final.  Matt joins his brother, Ray, as PJBT title-holders, now the 32nd set of siblings to own championships.  Matt earned the $200 top scholarship prize.   Zack Dragovits earned his entry to 2014 Junior Gold in Buffalo.
