The PJBT shared our Labor Day Weekend with PBA Hall-Of-Famer Parker Bohn at his scholarship tournament in Howell, NJ. This event was Parker’s 20th Anniversary of the event. The event had it all! A Friday Practice Session, Luncheon, Dunk Tank and Outside Games. Then two warm-up tournaments included an eliminator with multiple squads and a baker doubles event. Saturday’s main event had three qualifying squads with re-entry permitted. Sunday was a top 16 double elimination bracket in each division to determine a champion.
This year’s event saw a record 267 entries among four divisions. Under age of 20, 17, 15, and 12. All boys and girls in each age group were together. International rules were in play that all females received 7 pins handicap per game to equal competition against the men.
This year’s winners were:
U20 = Tyrell Ingalls
U17 = Michael Harmon Jr
U15 = Micah Voorhis
U12 = Kai Strothers
Top Finishers won a $2000 Scholarship and Kai Strothers $400 – In all, over $31,000 in scholarships given away!
