Zimmerman & Barna take 2014 Danny Wiseman scholarship tourn

On Sunday, October 12, the PJBT assisted PBA Professional Danny Wiseman with his 3rd Annual Scholarship Tournament.  What an amazing event.  A SOLD OUT 160 bowler field competed for over $19,000 in scholarships.  The event saw 63 bowlers compete in scratch and 97 in handicap.Congrats to Adam Zimmerman for capturing the Scratch title.  He was dominant and had control of the event all day.  He took the lead of the event in Game 2 and never looked back.  He also bowled the only honor score of the day, shooting 299 during matchplay. Zimmerman won $1250 for the title.In Handicap, PJBT regular Brianna Barna captured the title.  She stood in the top 5 after qualifying and turned in on in matchplay.  She won a majority of all her matches and propelled herself into the tournament lead going into the stepladder final.  In the title match, she defeated Nathaniel Davy in the title match and took home the $1500 first place prize.With sidepots, this year’s event gave away over $21,000 in scholarships and ALL 66 BOWLERS who made the match play round cashed for scholarship in the tournament!It was a pleasure and honor to help conduct such a great event…thanks to all who competed.  We hope to see you all in May for our PJBT event in Maryland and next year for this event.
