Kratzer & Elensky Capture Victory at Second Girls Event of the Season

The PJBT continued its season with its second GIRLS ONLY event of the 25th Anniversary Season.  The PJBT offers multiple girls only events during the season with a GIRLS ONLY invitational at the end of the season.

This event was our 2nd Girls Only Event at ABC West Lanes in Mechanisburg.  There was 33 Girls competing on this day with 14 in Scratch and 19 in Handicap.

Format was 5 Games Qualifying and then 1 Eliminator Game to get us down to our finalists.  For the finals, we did a 2-Game Stepladder for the top 3 Bowlers.

In Scratch, Leyna Kratzer captured the victory and $250 top prize.  Leyna led the field after qualifying with +154.  She maintained the lead into the finals.  In the title match, Leyna took on Riley Nahay.  Kratzer defeated Nahay 259-162.

In Handicap, Lyla Elensky captured the win and $250 top prize.  Lyla was in 3rd place at +135 after qualifying.  Lyla was able to move up to 2nd place after the eliminator round.  She only trailed tournament leader Aliyah Dent.  In the semi-final, Elensky defeated #3 seed Makenzie Fizz 230-158.  This advanced her to the title match vs Dent.  In the title match, it was epic.  It ended in a 200-200 TIE.  So they went to a rolloff for the title and Elensky won the 2-frame rolloff 44-40 to win.

In all, we gave away $1102 in scholarships.  Thanks to all 31 Girls who bowled and Mike Maus/Lane Tamers Pro Shop for sponsoring the event.
