Cody Kizis Wins #1 & Eryn Moore #3 at East Lincoln

The PJBT continued its 19th Season with a trip to East Lincoln Lanes in York for a Regular Season Singles Event.  This event was conducted on Kegel Wall Street Pattern.  On this day, 54 athletes came out to bowl including 33 in Scratch and 21 in Handicap.

In Scratch, Cody Kizis captured his 1st ever PJBT title.  Kizis put on a stellar performance….leading the field of 33 for the entire day.  He was the leader after qualifying.  He shot games of 222, 235, 227, 217, and 239.  He as at +140 or 1140 for 5.  14th place 1st qualifying cut was +1.  In match play, Kizis went undefeated with games of 258, 202, and 214.  Kizis stood at +314 and was the tournament leader entering the stepladder final.  In the title match, Kizis took on #4 seed Austin Leon.  Leon was coming off of 3 stepladder match wins and was hoping to walk the entire ladder.  He ran into a road block with Kizis.  Kizis defeated Leon in the title match 222-213.  Cody Kizis’ win earned him a $200 scholarship and plaque for his win.

In Handicap, Eryn Moore captured her 3rd PJBT title.  Moore entered the event wit ha 139 average and 54 pins handicap per game.  She shot 170, 140, 188, 148, and 153.  She stood at 1069 for 5 and was seeded in 2nd.  She trailed tournament leader Aidan Burger by over 100 pins!  10th place first qualifying cut was -18.  Moore shot a pair of 180 games and a 154 in match play.  She went 2-1 and snuck into the lead of the event after 8 games.  In the final stepladder match, Moore took on #2 seed Ryan Snyder.  In an epic title match….Moore beat Snyder by just 2 pins for victory 167-165.  Eryn Moore won a $200 scholarship and plaque for her win.

No honor scores bowled on this day.  Event gave away over $1000 in scholarships.
