Erb and Fisher win shootout at Berks Lanes

The PJBT came to Berks Lanes October 5, 2014 for event #8 sponsored by May’s Bowling and Billiards.  We had 77 entries, 33 in scratch and 44 in handicap. Eric Erb won his 7th career title at Berks Lanes Sunday defeating Alex Glinski 265-216 in the final match.  Alex followed up his win at Leisure Lanes last weekend by shooting 815 to run the ladder as the 4 seed before falling to Erb in the final.  Glinski defeated Alden Everett 258-182 in match 1, then defeated Kutis Stidd 278-204 in match 2, and Greg Tack 279-215 in match 3.  Eric Erb started off quaifiing by shooting 804 with a 300 in game 3, sharing the lead back and forth with Greg Tack throughout the day, Erb and Tack where tied for the lead after round 1, Greg shot 299 game 2 with a 796 for his first 3 games.  With the win Eric earned $250 in scholarship, Alex $125, Greg $75, Kurtis $60 and Alden a $40 scholarship. Bailey Fisher captured his 1st PJBT title in dominating fashion.  Fisher led the Handicap field after qualifying by shooting 1245 for 5 games of qualifying.  Fisher captured only 1 win in 3 match play games but maintained his lead entering the finals.  The early story of the finals in Handicap was Andrew Malozzi.  Andrew rolled his 1st ever career perfect 300 game during the semi-final match.  Malozzi shot 300 and defeated Ryan Graham 314-184.  Malozzi advanced to the title match vs Fisher.  Fisher finished off his dominating day by defeating Malozzi in the title match 234-161. Congrats to our 6 honor scores bowled on this day.  Eric Erb shot 300 capturing the $34 300 Pot.  Eric also shot 804 series during 1st 3 games of qualifying.  Greg Tack shot 299 during qualifying.  Alex Glinski shot 11 in a row 278 game and 815 series in finals.  Andrew Malozzi shot 300 game in finals.
