The BuddiesProShop.com Adult Bowlers Tour held its 7th of 8 events on the year….a $1000 guaranteed First Place Event at ABC East Lanes in Harrisburg, PA.  On this day, 26 scratch bowlers took on the 2016 Singles/Doubles Pattern of Men’s Nationals for this year.  Not only was it a competitive pattern but a tune up for many.  Many of our bowlers were heading within the coming weeks to Nationals and would see this challenging pattern.

A great story developed from this event.  Our champion was former PJBT winner and Matt’s college teammate, Andy Carson.  Carson was a regular PJBT bowler in the early years of our tour.  His last PJBT title came almost 14 years ago in our 4 Person Team Event in May 2002.  Carson also bowled collegiately with Matt at Penn State Berks over a decade ago.

Carson shot games of 223, 231, 241, 182, 255, and 226 during the qualifying round.  This block of 1358 for 6 (+158) had him leading the field into the stepladder finals.  Behind Carson was #2 seed Scott Kinkaid, #3 seed Joe Paluszek, #4 seed Mike Markis, and #5 seed Greg Bruff.  The stepladder went as follows.  Markis defeated Bruff in Game 1 244-173.  Markis continued his winning ways by defeating Joe Paluszek in a tight match 238-234.  Markis then advanced to face Scott Kinkaid in the semi-final.  This match went to Kinkaid.  Scott shot 204 and beat Markis with 183.  This advanced Kinkaid into the title match vs Andy Carson.  In the final, Carson got off to a strong start and never looked back.  Carson defeated Kinkaid in the title match 247-206.  Carson took home the top prize of $1000.

1st – Andy Carson $1000     2nd Place – Scott Kinkaid $500      3rd Place – Mike Markis $250     4th Place – Joe Paluszek $125     5th Place – Greg Bruff $75
